I have been deciding whether to run my own blog for sometime, nearly everyone in my industry has a blog, be it on his or her company blog or their own personal space on the www.
Everyone who knows me, knows that I do not like writing lots, my use of English language maybe a little lazy and if I can get to the point in a few words – I will. I am not a walking thesaurus, but I hope my posts will be informative rather than padding and waffle.
I’m not sure how long I will continue to blog for but who knows, maybe I will get the taste for writing and will blog weekly, maybe monthly – Errmmm. I do not plan on setting myself a target of blogging daily, weekly or monthly as I do not want to force my creative flair ?.
If I do blog about anything it will be on SEO, affiliate marketing, WordPress and “Social Media” – I can categorically say that I will not be blogging about PPC, so if your looking for PPC help, best you move on. I understand PPC and I know it works; I just lack enthusiasm on the subject.
I will probably blog tips and short posts that can be read within a matter of minutes and posts will be helpful rather than opinionated although I may rant off occasionally. If I find some code, plugin or SEO secrets ? – these will be the kind of topics I will cover.
I may occasionally offer website reviews from an SEO perspective if I feel others would benefit from the advice given.
I plan to review SEO and affiliate marketing services / products which I will offer an honest opinion on and if I like the product I will link to it, if the product has an affiliate program I will be adding my affiliate code – ? – I will not being doing sponsored or paid reviews.
The blog will get a facelift at some point – but my Photoshop skills are not the best so if someone would like to do a logo for me, I will offer some SEO advice in return.
